Epson America, Inc. has launched their new website geared towards their professional grade printers. This coincides with the ‘official’ release of the **80 series printers here in North America. You can download Epson’s guide explaining the new **80 series printers technology here.
You can also request print samples of the new printers here.
For those of you who have been looking at the Epson R2400, Canon 9500PRO, or HP B9180, may I suggest the Epson Stylus Pro 3800. While the initial purchase price is higher, it ships with 80ml ink tanks, 5 times more ink by volume than the R2400. After you factor in the cost of 5 sets of ink ($525) for the R2400, the 3800 actually costs less (both in purchase price and operation cost). The ability to print a 17″ wide sheet is just a bonus.
