Hi Everybody (I channel Dr. Nick from The Simpsons).
I’ve been a serious amateur photographer for a couple of years now. I think you can call yourself serious once you bring 3 lenses and a flash to a Labor Day cookout and actual use everything.
You can definitely say that I am self taught. And while I have visited countless websites and blogs, read some great (and not so great) books, I have yet to find a site that would cater to the person who wants to become a photographer. The person who has a point-and-shoot camera, but wants to upgrade to this thing called a ‘digital SLR’ so they can quit taking snapshots, and instead take photographs.
That is what I want this site to develop into.
